4Runner Go International At British Forces School In Italy

4Runner were approached by Babcock International Group (Defence & Security Infrastructure) to assist with the design and implementation of various works at the British Forces School near Naples in Italy. The works consisted of a new drainage scheme to alleviate storm floods, replacement of dangerous decking with a more suitable children’s play surface, design and installation of Brise Soleil sun shading, the design, manufacture and installation of roof access stairs and ladders plus the waterproofing of the external walls. The works took place over the school summer holidays in temperatures reaching over 40 degrees C which produced associated risks not usually experienced working in the UK! All the resources required for the various elements of the works were sourced in the UK and shipped directly to the project.
